Dramatic Eye Makeup Tips
Larger and More Dramatic
Dramatic eye makeup will use the application of a light shade of eye shadow from the eyelash line to the eyebrow. A darker shade will then be applied in a thin line just in the crease of the eye. This makes the eyelid look larger and more dramatic.
Think about the time of day.
The amount of drama you want to bring to your eyes should bear in mind the time of day and occasion. Dramatic eye makeup for the evening may be inappropriate for the workplace, mall or luncheon. But after dark or perhaps for when posing for a portrait, dare to be dramatic!
For something more dramatic try applying White Eye Shadow all over the lid (Our eye compact #2), with Grey Eye Shadow on the lid 3/4 the way up to the crease. With the Eyeliner Brush damp, apply Charcoal Eye Shadow (Our eye compact #2) around the entire eye close to the lashes and do not forget two coats of Black Thickening Mascara.
Dramatic eye makeup has many variations; it can highlight a great importance to a person’s skin and its appearance. Here are some of the tips and ideas that can achieve the results you want as would suggest being a dramatic eye makeup.
For natural or nude look on dry skin, use cream foundation. Tone down the attention on the high cheekbones with a soft blush on lower cheeks and sides of nose. If you have green or blue eyes, use a and shiny eye shade and keep your hands off the mascara. On the inner edge of the lash you can use a thin white ‘kajal’ pencil to make the eyes look brighter and a reddish-brown or close to natural shade lip color, which is semi-gloss.
The eye shadow is to be applied on the entire lid or sometimes, for effect between your eyes and your eyebrows. You could blend two colors such as light blue and turquoise to bring about a dramatic effect or pink and mauve, for instance. Just brush the shadow from inside out, very gently and dab the final result with a cotton swab to smoothen it out.
